The decision to begin looking for a new role was driven through my previous employers making redundancies.
I searched opportunities online and began looking at roles within the insurance industry, I began looking at my options and I decided that three considerations should factor in my decision making;
1. What do the customers say?
2. What do the employees say?
3. What does the vision of the business look like?
1. First Central pride themselves on their 5-Star Defaqto rating; which means that the product/service is a market-leader, offering an extensive range of premium features and based on the overall quality of the product. This signal the companies desire to provide the best service to customers.
2. Having colleagues who had moved to First Central as part of their own redundancy journey, I was attributed with a voice I trusted to provide me with how the business supported their people. The due diligence research online also highlighted First Centrals focus on people, with them securing 'Employer of the Year'.
3. To me First Central had a clear strategy, to grow as a company, to be profitable and be challenge the status quo. They wanted to do this by focusing on the customer journey and building team of like minded people, with aligned values.
