Director of Data and Analytics

A few reasons really. Firstly, I wanted to move to an organisation that moved more quickly than my previous companies, and for me personally to be given a greater degree of decision making responsibilities without the need to progress through layers of committee before being able to move things forward - true freedom to make a difference, a commitment to agility, and the opportunity to bring ideas and innovation to support business outcomes whilst operating inside company guardrails (policies, ways of working, ethical position etc.)

Secondly, as a Data leader, I wanted to go to work for a business that truly understood the value opportunities that data can bring, and who were committed to investing in data to support the achievement of business outcomes. During the interview process I spoke to a number of senior leaders who were all able to share with me quite clearly how importantly they saw Data and Analytics and specifics on what was needed to help them deliver.

Finally, I wanted to find a business that had an incredibly supportive, collaborative and empowering culture; one where job level and hierarchy were not the driver of who's opinion mattered, or where decisions could be made, and where organisational politics where at an absolute minimum. A place where you can be your authentic self, and where that is embraced and celebrated.

Fair to say, 2 years in, I found all of these things, and am loving my decision to join this brilliant company..!

I chose First Central to work for because in my interview I was really made to feel welcome and the leaders conducting it showed a real interest into me as a person not just on a professional level. They are flexible (depending on role etc), so I can manage my time and with a busy lifestyle outside of work it all slots into place nicely. The benefits package for colleagues is amazing and you can tell they have really put a lot of thought into what to provide and overall the way they treat colleagues is exceptional - you're not a number you are part of a wider family and that shows as they put in a lot of time and training into you. Lastly you know its a good place to work when you walk around the office and there are smiles and laughs happening across the office.

The company's commitment and accommodation to its employees while providing competitive perks made it a really easy choice for me to join.

Fraud Team Leader

I decided to work at First Central after serving a career in the military, my sister had worked for First Central for a number of years alongside her partner. They had both always had good things to say about the company and from an outsiders view I could see the benefits. When an opportunity became available I quickly applied. It was a great decision and I now see myself the benefits of working at First Central. From day 1 I felt supported in the role and felt like I was part of a wider team.
